BEFORE YOU RELY ON A REVIEW
TrustPoint helps you organize household mechanical decisions, compare documented proposals, and identify questions worth asking a qualified contractor.
You describe the situation, record the contractor’s recommendation, and add existing evidence. Automated checks organize that information into preliminary findings and questions. You can compare saved proposals. Your statements, contractor claims, supplied evidence, and system findings are different kinds of information; one is not proof of another.
Automation and AI: customer guidance uses structured rules and the information available in your records. Where document reading is enabled, software can extract text from supported documents and images. Text extraction is not an expert review or proof that the document is accurate. Live AI guidance is not included in this release. Do not assume an AI model or a human expert has read your documents.
Guidance can be incomplete or mistaken. It cannot inspect equipment, take measurements, or know facts you have not provided. No live human review of every automated result is included. Learn about the experience behind the approach.
TrustPoint doesn’t perform the work or earn a commission on what you choose. Another qualified contractor’s opinion can be valuable. TrustPoint helps you understand the evidence and the questions to ask; it does not replace an on-site assessment or presume the original recommendation is wrong.
Findings depend on the information you enter and supported text extracted from your documents. Where available, document reading supports text PDFs, scanned PDFs, photographs and supported office documents, subject to file and processing limits. Reading can fail or miss details. Check extracted text and amounts against your original; the original is retained separately from the findings. Stored files are not a guarantee of a completed review.
Evidence gaps identify support that is missing or unclear in the supplied material. They are not a prediction of equipment failure, a contractor quality rating, or proof that work was not performed. Existing rules prioritize questions; clarifying answers can change a review.
TrustPoint does not inspect your home, verify measurements, guarantee savings, or replace an on-site diagnosis. You and your qualified contractor remain responsible for deciding what work is appropriate.
For gas odor, suspected carbon monoxide, fire, arcing, or flooding near electricity, move to safety and contact emergency services or your utility. Do not wait for this site, collect more evidence, or attempt hazardous work. This service is not an emergency monitoring service.
Your account can store profile details, equipment records, cases, estimates, notes, and files you choose to upload. These records support your saved reviews and comparisons. Avoid uploading payment-card numbers, identification documents, or unrelated sensitive information.
Amazon Web Services hosts the application database, private file storage, and sign-in service. Sign-in uses cookies to maintain your session. The free AC check keeps answers in page memory. Only if you choose to carry them into a personal review are selected answers stored in this tab’s session storage. The review accepts them for one hour and removes them when read; no files, narrative or safety clearance are stored in that handoff. A fixed review-destination marker may also be stored in this tab for up to one hour to continue after sign-in and membership setup. It contains no quote text, files or account details and does not grant access. If you request regional weather alerts, your saved state or territory is sent to the National Weather Service with your consent. This does not establish conditions at your property. Precise property enrichment and live marketplace stock are not included in this release.
In Account settings, you can export your account records or remove your application account and its server-stored evidence. Download any original files you want to keep separately. Deletion does not remove files from your own devices. Recovery backups can retain earlier database records until those backups expire.
Stripe processes paid memberships and retains transaction records subject to its obligations. Closing your application account ends its paid membership immediately; cancel renewal instead if you want access through the paid period.
The guided experience can keep your decision and attached files in this tab for up to 30 minutes while you sign in or manage billing. Choosing Save & finish later can also keep a draft and originals on this browser and device. Those device copies are separate from account records and are not removed by deleting server data. Use a private device and remove local copies you no longer need.
The separate sign-in identity is not automatically removed by the application’s account-deletion button. Contact us if you also want that identity removed or need help with a data request. Use Forgot password on the sign-in screen to reset your password. Sign-in verification codes are sent to your email. If you cannot access that email, contact account support. Never send passwords or verification codes by email.
With your permission, the public homeowner guides, water-heater guide, and resource center count links into the AC decision check, review overview, situation flow, and estimate flow. Acquisition pages also count Ask TrustPoint and estimate-upload link clicks. Guide link counts identify the fixed public guide and destination category; they do not mean that a tool, review, or purchase was completed. We use only a fixed public landing-page label and a coarse Google, Bing, other recognized search, or direct/other label within this browser tab to connect those visits with basic journey milestones and eligible purchases. Later page visits reuse that entry for up to 30 minutes; an open page keeps its attribution until you navigate or withdraw consent. The tab record is removed when the tab closes or you withdraw consent. We do not store or send the referring URL or search terms. Approved campaign links may also provide fixed source, medium, campaign, content and keyword-family labels. These labels are held in memory before permission and saved in this tab for up to 30 minutes only after permission. We never collect the actual search query or arbitrary campaign text. Refusing or withdrawing permission discards these labels. This is approximate attribution; missing referrers and blocked analytics leave gaps. After consent, we also retain the fixed guide and tool category from your most recent guide-to-tool click in this tab for up to 30 minutes. Successful proposal-preview and full-review milestones can carry these labels; the labels do not contain document details or identify you. A click alone never counts as completion. Withdrawal removes this record.
With your permission, we use Google Analytics to count visits to our public home, estimate-review offer, Decision Library guides, About, membership, service-information, and membership-terms pages. We also count when the public estimate-review offer, membership page or free AC decision check is viewed. The AC check sends no answers, progress or results to analytics. The public HVAC quote-context check sends only fixed started and completed events after consent, without amounts, answers, or results. These events are counted once per consented page visit. With your analytics permission, the membership page or guided journey can also report a verified first membership purchase within 24 hours of starting checkout. Only a random transaction reference, membership product, verified value, currency, tax and shipping amounts are included; no Stripe customer ID, account identity or proposal details are sent. A durable record prevents repeat reporting. Declining or withdrawing consent stops future optional measurement. Closing the page or a blocked connection may leave a purchase unmeasured; renewals and refunds are not measured by this feature. This does not indicate that a review was completed or a payment made. Google receives a public page name and address, browser and device information, and cookie identifiers. It processes network information to provide approximate location statistics.
Analytics stays off until you select Allow analytics. With your permission, the guided journey also sends fixed milestones for starting a review, adding a file, successfully completing a proposal preview or full review, viewing memberships, and opening checkout. These contain no filenames, answers, document text, account identifiers, or review results. Fictional demonstrations do not send these progress milestones. Each milestone is counted at most once per consented page visit, so it is not a count of every document or review. Sign-in forms, credentials, and signup completion are not tracked. A fixed account-authenticated milestone can confirm signed-in access in the guided journey without identifying the account. Existing visitors are asked again before this expanded measurement starts. We do not send your account identity, ZIP entry, quotes, uploads, form answers, raw URL query strings, or private-page contents to Google Analytics. Advertising personalization is disabled.
Use Privacy choices at the bottom of any page to change your choice. Selecting No thanks stops future analytics and removes this site's Analytics cookies. Your choice and Analytics cookies are set to last up to six months. Declining analytics does not limit your access to TrustPoint. Google's privacy policy explains how Google handles data it receives.
Free access remains available. Optional Home and Plus memberships provide the features and limits shown on the membership page. Paid plans renew monthly until canceled. See our membership terms for billing, cancellation, and refund details. Read membership terms.
